IBM i Risk Assessment and Audit

Session:

During this session, we will walk through a Mock Audit Review. This Audit Review will highlight and define the steps of a Risk Assessment and how it deals with IBM i Security.

In the assessment, we will be showing a sample focusing on system values, key profile settings, ransomware, and more. It will be an interactive presentation and audit review in an actual IBM i operating system, allowing for questions to be addressed during the demonstration. 

Bio:

In Chuck's role as CTO, Chuck has been instrumental in the design, implementation and operation of the CloudFirst infrastructure. His vast knowledge of enterprise systems, network infrastructure and regulatory compliance acquired over the past 20 years in the IT industry has driven the core design of CloudFirst's scalable, reliable and secure infrastructure.

Chuck has a wealth of expertise in security and regulatory compliance, where he has assisted companies with infrastructure designs that have exceeded their goals for SOX, PCI and HIPAA compliance. He also maintains several advanced technology certifications for IBM - Power Systems, PureFlex, Networking, Security and SAN Storage, as well as Microsoft MCSE, Linux, Citrix, VMware VCP and DT-VCP, Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIS, and many more.

Bob Butcher is a Systems Engineer with CloudFirst and has 25 year’s experience in the IBM I – POWER arena. His areas of expertise include backup, disaster recovery, migrations, upgrades, programming and security.
